Shipwrecked

Deep below deck is where you’ll find me

Thinking of ways to reach dry land

I’ve been living my life like a stowaway

Tired and tattered sails waiting for the wind to give

And I’ll sleep no more until you’re here beside me

We’re growing old before our time

Even the lighthouse keeper keeps the houselights on

Afraid to close his eyes

Waiting for the wind to blow

The sirens sing the same old song

We’ve been on the rocks too long

The harbour lights shine in the distance

A place where many sailors come

To buy some love off the girls with the bar stool smiles

Who say we’ll be shipwrecked when you’re gone

Waiting for the wind to blow

The sirens sing the same old song

We’ve been on the rocks too long
