Slow Moving Train

In a town full of dreamers with nothing left to dream

Everyone gets uptight and they let off steam

And for everyone that waves you on there’s two that hold you back

They’re putting up the closed signs and there’s blood out on the tracks

Every road that takes you out leads you back again

But there’s no way of turning back a slow moving train

I’m standing in the station; you’re outside in the rain

Longing for the warmth of a slow moving train

They’ve got one foot on the platform, one foot on the train

Both feet on the platform and the dance begins again

Even ones you travel with start demanding back their fare

They blame you for a rough ride because they could not drag them there

Every road that takes you out leads you back again

But there’s no way of turning back a slow moving train

I’m standing in the station; you’re outside in the rain

Longing for the warmth of a slow moving train

Sometimes I feel like running away from minds made up to tight to move

Even the Thunder Thief is hanging up his boots, he says he’s nothing left to prove

It’s just some people never get the groove

Every road that takes you out leads you back again

But there’s no way of turning back a slow moving train

I’m standing in the station; you’re outside in the rain

Longing for the warmth of a slow moving train
